Seriously, I get better framerates with 5 AI cars in LFS than I do in the
Mercedes demo, and the graphics are, for me, more realistic.  At 1024 x 768
x 16, race starts at South City are in the high 20s, then settle around
40fps once past the first corner.  At 1024 x 768 x 16, the WR demo was
always in the mid 20s during a race, not matter where the AI cars were.
Just hotlapping alone in LFS, I get between 40 - 60 fps at my notebook's
native screen resolution of 1400 x 1050 (16bit).

Again, on a 2GHz+ with GF4 or Ati 9700 - MBWR completely blows LFS out of
the water in terms of graphics (pixel shaders simply rock) and frame rate.
Also a game like GTR 2002 runs at twice the frame rate of LFS and looks
slightly better.  Apart from this minor quibble though, LFS is brilliant.

PS/2 I know, but it's had poor reviews todate IIRC.
Shame, nearly bought it too.
