The MotoGP games are very good. Pretty realistic and playing the game
with no assists is quite challenging. MotoGP 2 was anyway. The best
bike racing games to date IMO, although I havent played TT Superbikes
which is supposed to be good. MotoGP on Xbox is a seperate game to the
Namco games on the PS2.
PGR 3 is quite good, but it's not sim and not supposed to be.
The MotoGP series pretends to be sims but they're just not very realistic.
A bit like the Toca games. Fun, but not to be taken seriously.
Toca 3 is EASILY the most realistic racing simulation produced to date.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Toca *3* - It's probably the greatest simulation the
world will ever see.
So Toca 3 has surpassed NSR in your estimation? Wow....does that
qualify as a compliment and would the authors of TOCA3 be happy to hear
that?
It's probably a bit better than SB2001 but that's not really saying much.
MotoGP 2006 isnt due until June. So you will looking at getting MotoGP 3
at the moment. I would just wait for the 360 version now though.
PGR 2 is made with the pad in mind. I have a while for my Xbox for
Forza. I was faster with the wheel in Forza, but in PGR2 I coldnt get
near my best time with the pad when playing with a wheel. I would guess
its the same with PGR 3. It has proper wheel support from an update, but
the 360 has no support for FFB which is pretty crap.

Bit eliteist(sp) while there are probably none as realistic as the like of
GTR and GPL. Games like Forza, MotoGP: URT and GT4 are not arcade in the
way that Ridge Racer or Sega Rally are, those are arcade games to me. The
likes of forza are games that feel realistic but the physics are not
completely accurate and the handling is forgiving.
To be honest, I have more respect for the likes of Ridge Racer, Sega Rally
etc because they don't pretend to be something they're not. Games like GT4
which manage to convice 'Average Joe' that he's driving a fully realistic
simulation are a blight on sim racing IMO.
