LWFF with XP?

LWFF with XP?

I'm attempting to mate a LWFF w. ECCI's Trackstar E3000 pedals but have run
into a snag: the test rig is running Win XP, but it won't recognize the LWFF
(the original model w. the red-*** rim).  Any ideas?

LWFF is not supported by XP unless you use it USB using the serial to USB
connector provided with the wheel.

Even with this, mine wasn't working (USB not working on the wheel, it
seems), so I just bought a Momo Force. Too bad I pay for more Logitech stuff
when they are not even supporting their older stuff... But Momo Force was
the best for me.

I didn't have any problems getting my LWFF wheel to work in XP.  In
fact I didn't even install the Logitech drivers right away.  This is
using a USB connect, and with the pedals that shipped with the unit.

Thx, Claude!  This gen was actually in the readme...doh!  Here's hoping it
works for me.

A friend of mine has an old original red LWFF.  It works via USB in WinXP
but FF causes a big frame rate hit in F1200X games.

Well I had to install the Logi drivers to get the LWFF control panel.
Otherwise I couldn't use it in XP. However, it's working fine with no
FFB frame rate problems, nothing. Working great.

I think that USB on older MBs is not so good. I upgraded recently and
all my USB stuff works great now.
