When you race online..i know you have to dial to the persons computer
that is sponsoring the race.Do you have to call their phone number and
run up a huge bill on your phone line if you wanta keep racing
online??or is there something else you do to connect to someone elses
computer without the phone bill thing??

If you really want to race The serious place to race is on NROS on TEN
http://www.ten.net/games/nascar/
You pay a monthly or hourly fee go check it out There are around 6000 guys
doing it now.

Some racing games (MotoRacer for one)
will allow to to host or join a TCP/IP
connected race. You will need your IP
address (your opponent(s)will need it to
find you). You can get this information
by starting a DOS window and typing
"winipcgf" (without the quotation marks)
at the prompt (while you're online). I
have only done this with MotoRacer, but
I'm sure others support it, The Need For
Speed II SE  comes to mind. Good Luck. I

DOS window, and type "winipcfg" at the
prompt (minus the quotation marks).
