G'Day,
Decided to boot up viper racing,hav'nt run it for month's,screen is dark for
some reason,last time i played it,it ran fine,all latest patches ,drvs,all
other sims working well,graphics card Voodoo3-3000,any help
appreciated.skell

Did you already try to add '-1' to the command line of your VR-shortcut?
It would then look like:     ...\Viper Racing.exe" -1
This would advice VR to ignore your glide drivers and run in D3D (which
seems to look better anyway, at least on my system with Voodoo2).
Maybe it works this way!?
