GPLDUMP and GPL 1.2.0.0 ????

by mad » Tue, 12 Oct 1999 04:00:00

Hi guys

I drive the Gpl 1.2.0.0 and I'am very pleased with it.
But I wanted to compare replays with gpldump 0.6.1
My old files loaded OK but the replays from 1.2.0.0 didn't
I got the message " NO YLPR SECTION this is not a GPL file "
So what's wrong ????
Is there a new version of GPLDUMP or will there be one ???
If there is where can I get it ???

Thanks in advance

Glenn

GPL IS STILL THE BEST !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There is a newer version of gpldump available, but it still
doesn't support 1.2 replays. The official gpldump site is

 http://www.hut.fi/~kaltsi

You can always get the latest version from there.

I won't be releasing a new version, which supports 1.2 before
Papy releases the official 1.2 patch, so that I don't have to
release another one just to support another rpy format change.

You can patch the new 1.2 replays with a hex editor if you wish so
that gpldump will read them even now.. just change the 5th byte in a
1.2 replay file to 00 instead of 01, but if you didn't understand what
I just said there, please wait for the next version of gpldump.

And everyone who has been waiting for a new release of gpldump,
sorry, but I've been taking a big break from it. Thanks to
Chris E and SpyGirl guys.. all your suggestions are there, but
then I got a bit ambitious and broke everything and now the
bastaad is just waiting to be recoded from ground up.. so :-)

GPLDUMP and GPL 1.2.0.0 ????

I've been using GPLDump allmost EVERY day since the first release
(quite some work to make a nice diagram with the first versions :) and
GPLDump has been a very big help for me to improve my times.

Thanks for this superb utility Juha, and good luck with your next
version!

Oooh! Been there, done that, bought the T shirt. Just add feature X, oh and
feature Y, and....what do you mean, it doesn't work any more? OK, I'll go
back to version 1.303. Oh god, that doesn't work now either....

Great program. I look forward to the new "improved" version,

Yep, you run it and it returns to desktop. I've tried adding
features like not even having to run it to get it to return
to desktop.

Whatta hell is a 'dump to desktop kinda thing' ? :-)

GPLDUMP and GPL 1.2.0.0 ????

by Andre Warrin » Wed, 20 Oct 1999 04:00:00

GPLDump is indeed a wonderfull program. Normally, GPL allmost never
dumps me back to the desktop.
Now that I've got GPLDump installed, it dumps me back to desktop when
I want it! I've set the 'dump to desktop' interval to 5 minutes,
returning me to the desktop every 5 minutes without the hassle of
pressing escape!
