N2002 Force Feedback Problem

by lee.ward » Mon, 25 Mar 2002 02:53:42

Hi there,

I have just installed the UK version of N2002 and although all the controls
seem to work OK, I can't seem to get any forcefeedback.

There is no feel when I'm on the track and the 3 sliders in options don't
move at all.

I'm using a Act Labs wheel, Performance Pedals and the Shifter with M$ ME

Everything worked OK in N4 and works OK in GPL

Any ideas

Cheers Lee

If you have steering assistance enabled, force-feedback will
automatically be disabled.

I have a similar problem. FF doesn't not work at all until I go to the
Options menu, chose Generic driver which then takes me to the calibration
page ( in which I have no input). I then exit and go to the Optimized driver
button, and repeat the process. I have to go through this process for every
track the I go to, regardless whether it's in the same session. This is
quite annoying but it is the only way I've found FF to work.
I had to go through this in N4 also.

I've just checked and I'm not using steering assistance. Also I've just
noticed there actually is anything to slide in the forcefeed back sliders.
Not like there is in the steering linearity slider.

It's alright.... I am a complete DUMMY. I've just found the tick box to turn
FF on.......DOH!

Apologies to everyone.

I'll say it again.."I'M A DUMMY"

Thanks Eric I did not know that.  I was helping somebody doing some laps
with the FF on and I noticed there was no force-feedback when I turned the
helps at <on>.  I was wondering if it was a bug, even if the logic made
sense to disable it.
