GPL won't start up in Win2K

I've installed GPL but when I want to play the game the game shuts down when
the brown "SIERRA" page is beeing showed, then it shuts down and my desktop
is beeing showed again. I am running Win2K.
How can I fix this problem so that I can go racing???

Have you loaded the patch(ver 1.2, I think)?

Problem solved: just installed the 1.2 patch and a Direct3D patch and it
runs like hell now!
