Hawaii: Leagues, pick races, etc..

Hello.  I tried Hawaii today, and was rather disappointed.  On the
first try, I spent about 20 minutes signing on and downloading the
latest and greatest ver of Hawaii.  I then logged off and unzipped the
files.  On my second try, I went to the scheduler, and was faced with
the problem of being a skill 0 racer.  How did you guys get over that?
I have read about league racing here and there, but could not find any
good source of info on that subject.  Can someone introduce me to
this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Hope to see you at the track
later, after I figure out all this stuff.  :)

You race!  The better you do at races and the cleaner you drive(no
crashes) you skill level improves.  Read the SKILLS.TXT to find out how
it works.

You have to 1) race more to get off you 0 rating.  2) you have to have
more experience racing with people instead of AI cars..There IS a
learning curve. 3) Read the races of the week, read this group, read the
BBS message base to find out who has the leagues, so that you can email
them to join.  Generally, you will have to try out to get in, as well as
meet criteria(race more than dega, have a minimum skill level, etc).

Practice..Practice..Practice.

What problem with being skill 0? Most of the pickup races are 0-15. Very few exclude 0s.
If you don't see a race you can join, just press F2 and nominate any race you want. I
nominate most of the races I run.
