I haven't messed with that at all on my nvidia card but I did get messed
up colors from time to time with the V5 I had. Try different screen
resolutions...in fact try dumming down your desktop to match your game
screen 640x400 I think. turn the colors down and load it...then after
that, if it works, you shouldn't have to mess with the desktop again. good

Check out http://ntvdm.cjb.net
This program will emulate DOS in a certain way in Windows so that your
soundcard and USB wheel if applicable will be detected. It also MAY fix your
crash to desktop problem. After installing, how to use it in a Command Prompt
window:
cd\icr2
dosdrv
indycar -h
