I'm disipointed w\ the most major bug! I can't afford the HD to fit the
full version so now I can't save my setups. I heard something about
changing the name, but don't know what that means. oh well, can papy
release a early patch for this? Jim S.?

Two things to try while waiting on the patch for this: (Both off the
top of my head, and neither 100% guaranteed to work, but they have a
very good chance...)

1) Do a full install (temporarily compress something on your drive to
make a little more room).
Delete the tracks you don't intend to race on... (You  must delete the
entire directory from the TRACKS subdirectory. ie:)

c:\NASCAR2\TRACKS\ deltree TALADEGA

2) Do a minimal install and manually copy from the CD the data that is
needed to run the tracks that you want to run. Note: this might
include data from EFFECTS, SOUND, etc directories...

PS: Others more resourceful than I may have come up with an even
better solution...

OK great. Now how about a fix for the lack of save game?

I'll pass along a tip I got from Joe Farr today:

Just before you go into the garage to load your setup, open the door on the
CDROM drive. The game will try to read the setups from the CD, but will
fail, and then will default to your hard drive. If you've saved setups
before, they should show up in the list of setups. Just remember to close
the CD door before you change tracks.

I haven't tried this myself, but if Joe says it works... it works. Oh and
yes, I added it to the FAQ today.
