PAPY RACING TIPS: Any good?

by Scot » Fri, 10 May 1996 04:00:00

I just loaded the Nascar track pack on my pc. I was looking through
the literature included with it and saw NASCAR Racing Strategies And
Secrets book by Lee Buchanan in Papyrus' catalog.

Has anyone bought this book and is it worth the $19.95 they want for
it. I 'm new to Nascar but can't get enough of it so far!

Thank you for your input.

Hi Scott,

I bought the book after using Nascar for about 6 months and loved it.
It helps me figure out the tracks, like good speeds to try and hit in
the corners and such. It's definitly helped me avoid hitting the wall
as much when I begin testing at a new track. In my opinion the book was
worth it.(although I got it for $15.89 at CompUSA)

John

The opinions expressed here are my own - noone else wants them.

for $16.99 with my discount card.I have seen it at Comp USA for 17-18
bucks .I think the book was pretty good it gives you insight on all the
tracks and the best way to drive them(what lines to run). Also it gives
you a CD-rom with a bunch of utilities but you can get most of them off
the net .If you are having trouble with setting up a car for the tracks
or need help trying to figure out the line than get the book. But you can
get it Cheaper than That!!!

Scott,

The book is definitely worth the money, for the great set-up problem
solving chart, if for nothing else.  There are a lot of good hints and
ideas in the book, including a track-by-track analysis and breakdown.  The
set-up chart helped point me in the right direction and I'm now able to
race with opponents at 100% strength.  There are also plenty of hints for
modifying your season schedule, adding night races, running multiple
seasons at once, etc.

Yes, its outstanding espicially if your new to Nascar racing.  Lee
covers all 16 tracks in detail chapters on car setup, driving and
modem and network racing.  Theres also a cd-rom included with
some utilities, car setups and sets.  The alltime car set is one of
my favourites.  Well worth the 20 bucks.

Scott;

I bought the bought at a software store for $9.95.  It was well worth the
money.  Lots of good tips and it comes with a CD-ROM that has some cars
on it as well as some utilities.
