I realize the game isn't out yet but,i know some of you seem to have inside
knowledge on some things.First  will N3 run about as fast on my system as
N1999? Second,will the extra N1999 tracks run on N3,like
Daytona,Motegi,ect?Any facts or speculation appreciated.
Thanks,
Scott

Don Burnett

Nascar3 Question

You need to remember, N3 supports higher resolutions, which you will want to
run, and these demand more processing power. Add to that the graphics and
the positional 3d sound, and yes, it's overhead is higher.
However, you will find it very "tweakable" to get your better framerates as
in previous Papyrus sims.

Nascar3 Question

What's the status of Papy putting in a "roleplaying" function - you know,
working your way up to better rides, getting fired like Kenny Irwin, etc.
That sounds like it would be a blast if they would just put it in.   I think it
would add infinitely to the re-playability.  Anyone have any info on this?

Actually, one feature I haven't seen is "Hire/Fire pit crew".
Better crew=more money.

They can't do that due to sponsorship deals.  I believe when a company
sponsors a driver.. they hold a contract with that driver.  Thus when Papy
buys the license rights to that driver and sponsor.. they also abide by the
contract that the driver goes with the sponsor.  Your only chance would be
to have a imaginary driver sponsored my imaginary companies.

N3 out-performs NR1999 in every way, shape and form.

Papy has done an amazing job here.  They really have.

I'd be happy with that if they also included a way of editing/importing
that info.  Mind you, even if they didn't allow this someone would
probably come up with a program that does it and then pass said program
around on the internet.

If what you say is true then there seems to be such an importance on
having proper names etc. that this can restrict what can go in a game.
On the original F1GP they had those weird driver and team names and it
wasn't long before I had them changed to the proper ones and it felt
just as immersive as if the names had always been there.
