John, since you seem to be the only person who knows anything about
F1GP2, could you please tell us when you "think" it will be released?
Thanks in advance for any reply.

SRN is great!  Keep up the good work!

Hi Roger,

FWIW, officially I don't know any more than anyone else. The date of
Friday July 12th looks good, and if the GP2 sweepstake was still going
that's where I'd be putting my money based on what I've heard.

However, I don't know much about duplicating, but we seem to be getting
AWFUL close.....I have my fingers crossed!

Thanks, we're trying :)

Cheers!
John (also hoping for the final GP2 asap!)

My BIG question John is this.  Will you be able to keep the excellent
SRN up to date when F1GP2 is released?

Are you kidding!? I've been waiting for this for years, and there's
going to be an explosion of leagues, add-ons, hotlap charts, car
paintkits (being worked on already :) !!) and all kinds of stuff.

I reckon I'll probably take a break from playing around October or so.
Dave Gymer's going to need an army to handle all the HOF and league
stuff, and I can see Jed needing a truckload of staff too (not to
mention FTP space)! It's a bit like shops gearing up for Christmas.

No, hopefully it'll be business as usual, but I'll be running in a GP2
league as well as the ICR2 one I'm in at the moment so time will be
tight! I'll send you some of the product updates to cover okay? ;)

Cheers!
John

Well, I'm going to strictly limit myself to running the LFRS and other
mailing lists and HOF2, and I've already started assembling a band of
naive^H^H^H^H^Hmerry victims^H^H^H^H^H^H^Hhelpers to do things like
translating the HOF rules into other languages, helping to
authenticate laps. do the washing up, make the tea, and so on.

Speaking of which, would anyone out there in Usenet land be prepared
to volunteer to translate the HOF2 rules (when I write them!) into any
of the following languages?

- German
- Spanish
- American (okay, just kidding!)
- Finnish

Volunteers for other obscure languages will also be considered.
I already have volunteers for French and Dutch.

Sure, I'd love to cover some of it.  My only fear is, if F1GP2 is
anywhere near as good as it seems it will be, I'll have to drop out of
my NASSCAR league and forget about ICR2 completely.
Should I be happy or sad about this?
