Thanks John Wallace re GP2 modem play

I have had no end of trouble getting GP2 to run smoothly over modem (to
most people this is no surprise). Here is the surpise though -
Thanks to John Wallace and Co. I had my first successful link up today -
all I had to do was follow his advice on this months SRN.

People like John and Trevor Kellaway make this newsgroup a pleasure to
visit. Keep up the good work guys.

BTW, even though we were using P166's, 28.8 modems and USE16550, we
still had to leave virtually no detail on to keep things smooth (SVGA -
smoke front and rear, and kerbs front only - no track side objects).
But despite this, it was a blast to finally play our favourite sim over
the modem - can't wait for the modem play patch (I hope Papyrus is
listening - maybe they can sell their modem skill to Microprose)
