utility to change to 16bit desktop (for NASCAR 2002)?

by R Keatin » Tue, 25 Jun 2002 02:17:13

I run my desktop in 32bit color, but need to set it to 16bit prior to
running NASCAR 2002.  Is there a utility I can put in a bat file to change
to 16bit, run N2K2 and then when I am finished set the desktop back to
32bit?

I have a GeForce4 Ti 4400.  Using GeForce Tweaker, there is setting to force
to 16bit, but this doesn't seem to do anything for N2K2 as it still
complains upon starting if my desktop in in 32bit.

Thanks,
Russell

Download LaunchMate from http://tdrware.virtualave.net/LaunchMate/

You can configure it to change colour depth and resolution when you launch
programs from it.

You may want to look at Powerstrip.

Samuli Takala's Nascar Racing Assistant does the trick.

It has some other nice features too.
