Do GPL 16bit textures change the track?

I just loaded the textures for monaco... they look incredible, but it seems
like the chicane is now wider and the little rise just before the chicane is
flatter.  Is that possible?  Is it just the higher detail?  Am I just paying
more attention with everything looking that nice?

They are only textures so they can't change the width of the track..
allthough there's a difference about the textures on the track and the
'real' track.. you could change all the textures into asphalt for
example, making it -look- wider.. but you'll still crash when you
drive off the track :)

No the track itself can't be change with just the .mips that come
with the 16-bit update. The textures may alter your perception of
something however.
