MOMO Racing FFB Wheel

I purchased this wheel new off the shelf at circuit City for $75,00. The
software had never been open and the wheel was just a display model,
After I got home and read the instructions it showes a power supply that
plugs into the back. Well it wasn't to be found. I installed the
software and installed the wheel, no problem and it works. Waht does the
power supply do??

Thanks

It powers the Force Feedback.  You need to go back and get it.  If it was a
display model, they probably left it sitting on the display.

Q - Is this wheel a big improvement over the red Logitech FF wheel?

Graphically, yes.  Ergonomically, no.

its a big improvement, more precise, better pedals. I always had fun with
the old wingman, but this is better (and the wingman was getting very old)

says...
Well they looked and not to hard.. ....Would someone be so kind to read
off theirs and tell me the specs and model #. It's just a standard plug
for a power supply. I probablly have one sitting around the house.

So it should be alot better than it already is.....cool  It's a big
inprovment over my Thrustmaster Ditigal Pro II, which I wore out.

Thanks

Model: GAD-SLU-240A8
P/N: 190057-1004
Input: 100-120V ~ 0.4A  50/60HZ
Output: 24V      .75A

Did CC at least offer to order a replacement for you?  They're usually
pretty good about stuff like that.

Chris:

Thanks for the info. Now I can go to the store and they should know what
they are looking for. The kid that sold it to me told me over the phone
that force feedback runs off the USB port. I'll just go to the store and
get some face time with someone.

Thanks again

Yes, the MOMO pedals are better (however, I gave up on the stock pedals and
went to TSW pedals - a huge improvement, particularly with games like N2003
that allow lock up under braking), but the wheel itself feels grainy and
notchy and seems to suffer from strange spikes and anomalous kickbacks,
which is why a lot of players prefer the "Old Red" Logi WMFF, particularly
with the ball-bearing shaft mod.

The seller is responsible for this IMHO.  Do NOT let them off the hook!

Well good news Went back to the store and got hold of someone that new
what it looked like and actually went and looked. But they couldn't find
it, and offered to refund my money. Since nI considered I god a pretty
good price, I wasn't giving up yet. I called Logitech Monday morning and
the guy at tech support couldn't replace it , but told me to call
warranty support and tell them that my power pack had gone out, and
since I just bought it 2 days ago, it should be covered under
warranty. He put all my info in the computer and when I called warranty
support, they said no problem, and will ship one as soon as I fax in my
proff of purchase. Well, that was done quick, and my power supply should
be in the mail.  I will say thta having delt with a bunch of warranty,
tech support side of companies, I would buy from Logitech again, just
because of the ease of dealing with them.

I'm sure I'll be back on here asking some force feed back question.
Thanks everyone for oyur help and comments.

Same experience with Logi tech support Bill.  One of the best experiences
Ive ever had while trying to replace a defective product.  Logitech support
is "A number one"

Where does one find out about this mod?
