I brought a Wingman Formula two weeks back. It's great, very well built and
the wheel feels superb. The pedals are slightly dissapointing, it's got a
nice base but the pedals don't travel as much as I would like.
Installation was very simple, there is no USB option on the this wheel, just
gameport. The software is great, drivers work very well, especially if you
download the latest beta of the wingman software.
Buttons are great, 4 on the wheel and two excellent 'F1 Style' shifters. The
shifters are well placed and have a nice feel. Again, the paddles are well
built, nice and big, not small like some other wheels.
On the wheel there are 2 LED's, one confirms power to the device, the other
tells you if the wheel is communicating with the device driver. I have no
problem with the green LED's, but it would distract some people, but you can
easily put some tape over them.
Finally the game bundle is F1RS and Motorhead. I've not tried Motorhead yet,
but F1RS is ok (if you like it). I don't like Ubisoft's style.
I'd give the wheel 8/10. There are only 2 *really* good wheels out there, I
think : This wheel and the Act-Labs range. I was going to buy an Act-Labs
but there are so few suppliers of it in Europe I gave up searching and
brought my Wingman instead.
HTH (sorry it dragged on ;-)
