GP3 and Win XP

GP3 2000 seems to have at least double the processor occupancy under WinXP
than what it does under 9X.  The strange thing is that the original GP3
seems to run fine under XP.

My system

Athlon 650
Geforce2 MX v21.80
SBLive! value (latest XP drivers from Creative)

Any ideas?
