The Papyrus Nascar sims force you to start with 22gallons of fuel.  This
is to make sure all cars are of equal weight.  While I dont' think there is
a rule prohibiting starting with a partial load of fuel, the reality is I
can't recall a Winston Cup event that had somebody try that.
You can run a testing session and reduce your  fuel load to work on setups
that are balanced more with a partially empty tank, but once the racing
starts.  You get a full tank.
To access your ratings, while in the arena chat area, click on your name
on the lower right.  Then click on the P that is located near the names.
That will give you the results of your rankings.  To get slightly more
detail.  press ctrl & shift while viewing your P rankings.

There actually is a rule forcing them to qualify with a full fuel load.  I'm
not sure if there is a rule about starting a race with a full load, but it
wouldn't make sense to start with less.  Once you are racing you can control
your fuel load on pit stops with the F3 key in a fairly realistic way, the
only difference being that you pick the amount by 1/2 can increments and in
real life they time the fuel going in on a gas and go and they have tested
how much fuel per second goes into the car so they know to take 3 secs of
fuel or whatever.

When I click on my own name I get the message "could not read the profile".
This seems to occur only with my own name and not with other drivers. Does
someone know how to fix this or what the problem is?

Thanks in advance,

Pascal.

UserIDs with periods (and a couple of other punctuation characters that
I can't recall of the top of my head) can't be read by the ratings
system, so it is HIGHLY recommended that you limit your UserID to
alphanumeric characters.

Eric,

I have a punctuation in my name, so that should be the problem. Thank you
for the information :-))

Pascal.
