You MUST buy a video card with the RENDITION VERITE chip on it to take
full advantage of Nascar 2 and Indycar 2.

These include the Intergraph Intense 3D 1000, Sierra something, Canopus
something.

Hello fellow racers,

I was wondering what cards are compatible with nascar2 and indycar2.  I am
thinking about ordering a diamond stealth 3d or some name like that.  Is
this a good card or do will it work with these two games?  If not, then
what card should I buy?  I need to know quickly.  If u know anything
please contact me at my email address.  Thank You.

For the Rendition versions you have the choice of 4 cards.  Well,
really only three as the Creative 3D Blaster doesn't come with ICR2.
That leaves you with the Intergraph Intense3D 100, the Sierra
Screamin3D, and the Canopus Total3D.  The first two are nearly
physically identical only differing in drivers, bundled software,
price, and support.  The Canopus uses faster EDO RAM, has a faster
RAMDAC, adds 3D sound, and has stereoscopic support to some games.  As
you might expect it costs more than the other cards (about $279 I
think).

I may get flamed for answering something you didn't ask, but it's
just friendly advice.  Here goes...
The other replies are on the ball, but if you play games in low
resolution modes you will be in for a shock.  I'm talking reducing my
P200 to 486SX territory, not just bad benchmarks.  A lot of lo-res games
will just not run at anything approaching usable speed.  There are
workarounds that will work for some games (GP2 for one), but these seem
to be in the minority.  If you are a dedicated Papyrus player (like me!)
and/or never play lo-res games then buy Rendition now.

BTW I own one.

If you don't care about the rendition versions of N2 and Indy2 the Diamond
Stealth works really well.
