Road Course Suggestions for N2003

I have recently downloaded the TCTPP mod from The US Pits and I love it! I
have gone in search of road courses and have found several at M4drivng.sm.
I  have downloaded Limerock and Oulton Park and they are both great! I also
downloaded Leguna Seca and it is horrible. So I was just wondering if anyone
could suggest some of the "must have" road courses form this long list of
tracks at this site or others. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are a lot of great road courses at the US Pits site which you already
know where to find; look for the sim downloads page and then tracks.
Haven't driven them all, but the long version of Watkins Glen (w/boot) is a
must-have, as are Silverstone, Osterreichring, St Jovite (Mt. Tremblant) and
Road One (fictional, but great to drive).  No doubt there are others -
planning to check out Limerock next, myself.

Also there are good beta versions of Mosport and Kyalami at Project Wildfire
http://www.onlineracin.com/pwf/.

And of course there's still Dave Noonan's great converter at:
http://www.sim-garage.co.uk/.

That should do you for a bit... ;-)

Don't forget Bathurst, Sandown, G?tzenburgring, the fabulous Norisring,
and the long version of Watkins Glen, also at The US Pits.

Lime Rock is a travesty of the RW track.

Steve:

In the creator's defense, I believe he readily admits on The Pits' board
that he's learning, and is very receptive to input/suggestions.

(The same could be said for Papy's Mid-Ohio too... ;-)

Miss you on track in SRRS too! :-)

J.D.,

Well, I'm spoiled 'cuz Brent Adams' LRP is so damn good.  I've put in many,
many laps at the real Lime Rock, both racing & testing cars, and Brent's
version feels just like the real thing to me.  (And his Mountain Circuit
seems exactly like what we might have had if it had ever been finished.)
Olbuck's version is not only as geographically flawed as Papy's pathetic
Mid-Ohio (which at least captured most of Mid-O's rthythms), but it also has
none of the RW Lime Rock's flow.

I have no problem with somebody cutting his designer's teeth on LRP, or any
other RW track, but my hand will shoot up with it misses the mark by a
country mile and somebody who's never driven the RW track chimes in and says
it's "great."  It ain't.

I miss being online, too.  I only have a limited amount of time for sim
racing ATM, and for some inane reason have chosen to drive Cup cars (not
T/As) on road courses...and can't find anybody online to play with.

Speaking of which, I see that Lou Magyar has finally released a beta of his
Bridgehampton for GPL.  He's managed to get everything right except the
scenery!  Now THERE'S a road course!  I watched Cup cars (or GNs, as they
then were) race there in the 60s.  Looking forward to a N2003
conversion...hopefully.

I'm enjoying it, but it's definitely not as good as the GPL version.

Hopefully we'll get some tweaked versions of lime rock, laguna seca,
mid ohio, etc down the line.  Of course, a year from now Papy may have
a new sim out and we won't be bothering with N2003 anymore.

Well its certainly a little different to the GPL version but its far
from what I'd call bad, actually quite a fun little track.

Its great to have all these tracks to play with this wonderful sim,
really made buying N2003 worthwhile.
