pad" style track. But what we don't have is a track to test strait line
properties...
Fuel mileage, Terminal speeds, Quarter mile speeds, Braking distances,
et...
RemcoRing is the closest we have to what's needed but I'm thinking we
(We, I, et..) need something slightly different. Something with two very
long flat and level straits, with two wide radius turns (wide enough not to
lose speed while going around them). and markers all along the track
indicating distance from the start/finish line. This is more or less just
for curiosity sake..
I'd like to know specific numbers for each marquee and each class, and
each exaggeration of.. Last season I tried to get some numbers by using the
Taladega converted track, but unfortunately I only got generalized numbers.
I couldn't get to top speed because the turns would be there before I
reached it and the climb entering the banked turns slowed me down by a
little, even for the F3's. I did find out that tire pressures, drafting and
being drafted, made a difference in fuel mileage but I never got specific
numbers. Be nice to be able to get specific numbers with a track as
suggested above. anyone interested in creating such a track? ;-)
