Ymenard Bashing - The End

Ymenard Bashing - The End

by Tom Pabs » Fri, 16 Aug 2002 01:27:42

Okay....I've been kidding around with Francois for a couple days.....it was
fun and he took it like he always does....in good spirit of fun and dished
it back very well, indeed.

But just for the record (and the benefit of some of the newer visitors to
r.a.s), here's what I really think of Mr. Menard (after 5+ years of knowing
him in and about this sim racing community):

1.  Frank can get cranky once in a while (don't we all), but he's been the
most knowledgeable and helpful person I have known in this community.  He
knows allot, because he has been around here for a long, long time.  I have
never seen him be anything more than gracious and helpful to the newbies and
experts alike.

2.  I have never asked Frank a serious question, or had a serious discussion
with him, that I haven't come away more knowledgeable or more enlightened
than when I started.  When he's not sure of the answer or issue, he goes and
finds out and gets back to you.

3.  He changes his opinion or position easily, but requires you  to have
your "ducks lined up" when you disagree or are on the other side of an issue
with him.  There's a fine line between being "opinionated" and having
"conviction".....Frank does the best job of anyone I know of walking it.  I
could learn something from him on this......and I will try to.

4.  He is almost universally liked within the sim community.  You can tell
this, by the number of people who "bust his balls" regularly!

5.  Papyrus could help themselves by having Ymenard as a beta tester for
their NASCAR series.  I haven't got a clue why he hasn't been one.

6.  I don't know how "fast" Frank is in sim racing, I have rarely raced with
or against him (only a few times I think back on TEN).  But, I know that he
knows as much if not more than anyone in sim racing, about racing, racing
techniques and skills, the driving line and all the subtleties contained in
those topics.  If I was having problems getting up to speed on a
particularly tough road course, Frank is one the persons I'd seek advice and
counsel from.

That's what I really think of Francois Menard.

Regards,

Tom

Well, that's just peachy.. I'm so glad you enjoyed yourself while the rest of us were
bored senseless by the continuing saga. As to why I even read the post's, I  don't really
know. Maybe it was just to see how much gringe worthy clap trap you could spout in those
few days.  And you actually excelled yourself.

He makes the PMS cycle seem like a hundred year storm

You don't ask for help much, do you?

You don't get out much, do you?

Do you and Ray Charles have the same eye sight?

I suppose questioning your intelligence and knowledge level would be a "cop
out".

Or he makes one up.

It's the "Frances" in him.

Are you trying to increase the number of people you offend?

SAY WHAT!?!?!?    You need to get out of that California sun!  I think that
lack of ozone is causing more progressive damage than anticipated.

It's just so easy.

If they are looking to file Chapter 11 and to sell less copies.

"I haven't got a clue" answers that question.

"Fast" is not the word to use.

TEN).

Was he using a keyboard?

about racing, racing

I again point to the getting out of the sun suggestion.  Franky knows WWF1..
which isn't that hard since the cars all but drive themselves and if you
have ever watched the Macy's Parade.. you know what to do during the "race".

course, Frank is one the persons I'd seek advice and counsel from.

"Scott checks his PDA to make sure he didn't sleep through August, Sept,
Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, and March through the 31st."

I try not to think of Farnk My Nards.

Tom:

You have the greatest views now.  But Would a
compliment be complete from me without a *** from me.. lol..   Just
kidding.

Your new camera view out the window shield is great.  enuff said.   But can
you make the guages any bigger.   Im old and slow at 56..lol.   Also can you
make the Review mirror bigger or even from side to side.. say 5 feet vs
what appears to be 1 foot.  I thought in the NASCAR they have these
big review mirrors to see from side to side. .. just asking..

Hehe. I think it's like a soap opera. You really don't give a flying f*ck
what happens to the characters, but there's nothing else on the other
channels and you keep watching in case a fight breaks out and someone dies
in an entertaining fashion ;o)

I'm self-aware of the absurdity of my personna by now.  I'm often playing
with that card.

At MHO they have found a term found that, it's being "non-sensical".  With
the quotes.  I'm an INFP, so it's part of me.

People like me?  Oh!  <self-ironic statement>.

Nah.  Not that I have anything against Papyrus, but my days of testing or
trying to test for companies is over.  The reason why isn't even related to
simracing, it's more personnal.  Oh and I'm sure Papyrus thinks I'm a freak
anyways. <waves to the Papy employees who have time to waste by reading
this>

Actually it's the same here for many others who have never or almost raced
against me.  I rarely race, on purpose.  I select the events I want
carefully.

How much do you want in money for that post?  Or would you prefer me going
down on my knees? ;-P

Hey!  Just join the fun.

Actually, it's just the post-modern Usenet society.  Just look at other NG's
and you'll find that the absurdity level is just waaaay high and that it's
mostly a ridicule "time well wasted" place to write on.

ROFLMAO, Scott.

See how much Frank is liked in here?  I told you so!

Scott just spent 15 minutes thinking up funny stuff to say about Frank.  You
don't do that with somebody you don't like.  You just ignore their ass!

......lol........
