What did he say about the***pit view?  Is there a link or can you copy and
paste the text?

Thanks,

Marc.

I guess that was my point only you said it in a more entertaining way!  The
flight sim people have these same issues.  It is just wrong to assume that
an "accurate" view is necessarily the best view for a computer-screen based
simulation.

Because most of the races I've seen have 'force***pit view' on.   In other
words, if you join that race you will be in***pit view and you won't be
able to change it.

I love this feature, although it is highly controversial to some.

But then so you would exceed 100% <G>  ;)

I guess it just wouldn't do to let people choose their own point of
view.  If I came upon a race like that, I'd find another where the
host had a little more respect for his fellow racers.

It has nothing to do with respect.  It has everything to do with the host
wanting a realistic, even race.

This is one of those subjects that there is no answer to :)

Such as I.  I ABSOLUTELY HATE the cocpkit view.  I'm not clausterphobic in
reality, but I am in the game!  I can't see a damn thing!  I use the roof view
and check my quarterpanels with the exterier view every once in a while when in
traffic.  What's so damn wrong about that?

ATTENTION PAPY! PLEASE GET ON FIXING N4 FOR MARC COLLINS! He is extremely
unhappy with the way your product came out and will accept nothing less than
a complete rework from scratch to his specs. I realize you have spent years
of your time to create this game and that 98% of the public enjoy it but
Marc Collins just doesn't like it so you'll have to patch it for him. You
will also have to disregard everything your unknowing Nascar drivers told
you and go stricktly off of what Marc says since he is the expert on Nascar
racing games.

Yes it is, and that's why, rather than argue about it, you just move
along to another race.

Yeah, I'm sure those Papy guys read this NG everyday and consider it as the
premium of customer opinions ;-)    "Oh, look that Marc guy has a good
point, N4 is quite crappy we'll need to patch it for his needs".

LOL ;-)

The problem is you aren't going to find a whole lot of 'good' races that
don't have it.  At least that has been my experience to date.

>Sim Racer vs Arcade Racer

>The debate continues  ;)

Sim v. Arcade is about physics, not game view.  And just so it's clear
which side of the argument I'm on, N4 is a **great** game -- it's just
marginally greater when I can use a view which allows me to see more
track and opponents and fewer rollbars.
