I'm looking for a scene where one needs to land or jump some vehicle
onto another moving vehicle. You know like fly a heli and land on top of
a moving semi or jump a motorcycle onto a moving train.

DNF is rumoured to have vehicle to vehicle action...

Stunt Island (Disney?) is an old game that let you set up stunts like this.
It's a flight simulator before anything else, and there isn't a helicopter.  It
was fun to try to land a slow airplane onto a car or truck.  You can make
movies with it by telling different objects what to do, and they can be event
driven.  For instance, once you fly through a certain giant invisible square
you define, you could tell a car or person on the ground to do something.  I
made a movie of a police chase through a little town, complete with music and
sound effects.  Fun!

I remember that game! It was a LOT of fun. And for the time, the
graphics were superb.

I loved it too!  I was astonished at how detailed the two little towns and
the big city were, with all the trees, little roads and buildings.  It was fun
to fly around slowly as a duck after making little traffic cars that would
drive around.  Swooping over trees and through back yards was fun :0)

Although it's not required/needed, you can do this (not easily) in Motocross Madness 2 (and perhaps 1 if there's a train in it but I've never played it). Unfortunately the physics isn't accurate and the motorcycle doesn't "ride" the train so you have to keep the gas on or you'll just fall off the back or whatever.

If you get the really old Disney game Stunt Island, you can do all this and
more.  Set up your own stunts, then fly them yourself - you can even edit
the footage afterwards.

Although you'll be lucky to get it running on any modern OS :-(

Anyone remember Atari's arcade "Hard Drivin" and "Race Drivin" ?  I think I
spent 1/4 of my salary in those things.  Best FF effects and overall car
feel I've ever seen.

Supposedly, the upcoming "Stuntman" from Reflections will
let you do things like this.

Though in Motorcross Madness 2 there's a track or two where you
can jump over a train or two... :-)

Remember? How could anyone forget? Considering they were released in '89 and
'90, they were pretty friggen amazing. <G> Now there's a couple of games i'd
love to see be recreated for today's machines.

I wonder if you can buy one of these old arcade versions anywhere?

In Speed Busters, one of the shortcuts on an early track involving jumping
your car onto a flatbed car of a passing train.
