Hard core 4*4 3DFX demo

I, on the other hand, could wait forever. While I agree that this game
_looks_ smart, it is undoubtedly the biggest pile of poo I've played
on the 3dFX. In fact I'd go as far as to say that the 3dFX support is
the only thing this game has going for it.

It will undoubtedly be compared to Monster Truck Madness, and while in
some respects it looks better the driving just isn't there at all.
Main problems are...

- No driving model at all. The driving is just pure luck, playing
pinball off the other trucks and the sides of the road.

- You can't leave the track! What kind of off-road game won't let you
drive off the road?! Unbelievable!

- The tracks are all just pure bumps and perhaps one extremely short
tarmac section. For that reason there is very little driver input in
terms of balancing and driving the truck as you can do (indeed HAVE to
do) in Monster Truck Madness.

In short - this sucks. That's a real shame since from the fluidity and
quality of the graphics there was a lot of potential and a great
engine there, but I for one will not be putting my hand in my pocket
for this one.

Next.....

Cheers!

Sad to say but that's probably for the best. I wish my 3dFX had done
that, I might not have been so disappointed :)
