how much difference am I gonna see in a racing sim like NFS 5 if I update my
voodoo 2 card to the 3 ....got the Creative labs VD 2 card in now.....

christ...didn't realize there is a Voodoo 5!!! can anyone give me some
advice....anyone have the VD 5 technology working on their system? that much
better than the 3??

what should I get? I have the VD-2 currently.....I'm looking 4 drastic
improvement 4 the $$$$...

The Voodoo3 is definitely much faster than a Voodoo2.
Then again, so is a TNT Geforce DDR card.

By the end of April or early May, 3dfx will be releasing the
Voodoo5 5000 & 5500.  What really appeals to me about
these cards is the full scene anti-aliasing.  This will be a
feature that will work on all games to smooth off the jaggies.

You've got  some things to think about. The Voodoo 3 3000 sells for around a
hundred bucks now. You can get fifty bucks for your voodoo 2 on ebay, and
maybe something for your regular video card too. So for a net of fifty bucks
plus a little shipping you'll have a card that's faster and will do higher
resolutions, and maybe something faster in D3D than what you're using now
too. All in all, a very good deal for you. But...... in 3 months (assuming
the release is late) you'll be able to get a voodoo 5500 that will be
much(?)  faster and less dependant on your computer speed. Of  course, it'll
probably cost about 300 bucks.
