rec.autos.simulators

I have noticed that more and more posts in this newsgroup are starting
to be about who can do what to whom, who is a moron, flaming people,
why a certain person sucks, etc., and less and less about auto simulations.
This is rec.autos.simulators and not something like a hate newsgroup.
If you want to go on a ego trip and start flaming people, calling each others
names, telling people what they can do to themselves, etc. do it somewhere
else. I'm getting tired of a lot of your childish and sensless behavior.
For example, if a person thinks Gp2 is better than ICR 2, thats HIS opinion.
If a person thinks ICR 2 is better than Gp2 or NASCAR, that is HIS opinion.
Everyone has a right to their opinions, and you don't need to flame them or
call them names because you don't agree with them. Maybe we should add
another newsgroup called rec.idiots.flaming for those of you that act like
little kids and have to fight about everything.

All kids aren't bad.  I am a high school student.  These simulators are
games and kids play them.  We want to find places that have information
on our favorite games.  For us that are interested in racing simulations
ras is the best and only real place where we can get info and exchange
ideas.  I agree that people like Yanno aren't making anything better for
the "mtv generation." ( although I hate mtv and wish it wasn't around).  
We aren't all like Yanno( he is on my kill file by the way).  I have read
some posts here that make me really mad.  They are addressed to kids in
general and the people that write them sound like they wish there were no
Kids on the internet.  It's like kids shouldn't even be able to get on
line. Please don't let two or three people cause you to hate Kids.  We
aren't all morons like Yanno.  Give us a chance. Some of us can really
drive these things too!

Right you are Cowen.

I have met some pretty nice people on the Internet,
and sometimes after knowing them for a time I later found out that they
were young (in their ***s). By the mature way they acted I never
would have known.

Actually that's one of the things that I like so much about the Internet,
you can interact with people without them judging you by your looks,
age, sex or race. The other side of the coin though, is that you are judged
very much by your behaviour.

I didn't know that Tom was in his ***s, my post to him suggesting he was
12 years old was a sarcastic attempt to make him act a bit less
childish, I didn't really think he was that young but he kind of
revealed that on his own.

So don't worry, we aren't judging all kids by the example of a few
bad apples on here, even Tom hasn't made my kill file yet, I'm still
giving him the benefit of the doubt that he will grow up a bit in his
postings and become a positive part of r.a.s.

So even though we may be a bit jealous of all the free time you have,
we are still glad to know you, and don't worry about the anti-kid posts,
if you don't act like one then they don't apply to you.

        Actually the only reason they got soooooo much free-time is that
it's summer time. But once it's scool time half of their post will be
gone.
