TNT2 3.68 Drivers ??

by Peter Hoope » Wed, 16 Feb 2000 04:00:00

Hi everyone,
Can all you TNT2 owners out there let me know whether it is worth updating
to the 3.68 NVIDIA drivers. I have an NVIDIA Riva TNT2 m64 and would like to
know if anyone has had any problems after installing the new drivers. I have
the LeMans 24hrs game and would like to try it out but it needs the updated
drivers to run properly. I know the game hasn't had good reviews but I would
still like to try it out but am a little reluctant to install the new
drivers. Is it easy to revert to the old ones if there are problems.

Many Thanks

Peter,

This is always risky to say since there are so many variables with
sound cards, other drivers, etc, but I've had no problem with the
3.68 drivers in Fly!, MS Flight Simulator 2000, Unreal Tournament and
general Windows 98SE usage. I don't use this machine for racing so
I can't comment on that area.

Good luck.

Jeff

If you use Windows 2000, it is worth it, but personally, i prefered the 3.75
I think I used for it, unless I am thinking of the wrong number.

I've tried all except the latest release and keep going back to the
2.04 reference drivers. But hey, try then, you can always back, just
make sure you have a copy saved on your hard drive.

the tnt2 m64 has just got a 64bit bus to the memory while the normal
tnt2 has got 128bit. so the m64 is a no-go!

Hi pete
you can safely update to the 3.68 drivers the work well on my ageing tnt and
actually solved some problems!!!
reverting back to old drivers is easy aswell, go to system in your configuration
screen, go to screen adapters
click update drivers and choose the option "pick a driver from the list"or some
thing like that
You will see all your drivers on this list, pick one and proceed.......succes!!
