GP1 shifter not working

Hi,

The downshift button on my GP1 has just stopped working after 2 months
of usage. I found I couldn't access the switch assembly to replace it,
so I'll probably send it back for servicing. Has anyone sucessfully
remedied this problem. And to those of you who have sent back the unit
to TM, how long is the turnaround time?
