WinXP and Nascarheat??

Hi,
Just installed WinXP pro,can run Nascarheat but as soon as i try to run a
"mod" a error message comes up with nascarheat is not designed for win 2000
the game starts but no mod???have all patches installed upto 1-72e, i am
running athlon 1900 256 ddr ram ,assus a7v333mobo,sound blaster live Gforce2
TI graphics.

Have you tried win98 compability mode?

Not necessary.  I run Nascar Heat with many mods under winXP.  The windows
2000 "error" shows up all the time, just OK it, and everything should work.

For mods, make sure that the shortcut icon points to "nheat.exe" not
"nascar heat.exe". I've had to manually edit some mod shortcuts to do this.

Also if you have a "data" folder inside the Nascar Heat folder, rename it
to "run".
If you have both a run, and data folder, move the contents of the data
folder into run, and delete the data folder.

Nascar Heat runs great on XP.
