LWFF "Not Connected" problem

by Stewar » Mon, 10 Jan 2000 04:00:00

I have just upgraded my system (spec below) but now I can no longer get my
LWFF to work via the serial port.  I have tried everthing I can think off
and have been to the Wingman site.  I have tried profiler 3.12, 3.25 and
finally upgraded to 3.3 + DX7a with the Logitech patch.
I would be most grateful for any assistance or ideas.

System
Mobo: Soyo SY-5EHM V1.2
AMD K6-2/450
64MB EDO RAM
AGP Voodoo 3 3000
Soudblaster Live! Value
Windows 95 4.00.950B (32-Bit)
Logitech Wingman Formula Force connected to Com 1

TIA
Cheers

P.S.
Can anyone tell me if it is possible for me to install a USB port using my
version of W95 and would it solve my problem?

Try to turn-off the wheel power and then turn-on then refresh in control
panel
i do it with my serial guillemot race-leader wheel

Peter,

I have tried both com1 & 2 but to no avail.  My modem uses com 3 and there
are no device errors showing in the device manager.
Regarding the USB, does the port just connect to the mobo via a cable?

Cheers

Modem on COM3, and LWFF on COM1? I think then both use the same IRQ.

I had also a "no device connected" problem some days ago.
Uninstalling the software (3.30) and reinstalling made it work again.

Not trying to be obvious here or anything but...  A while back I
thought my LWFF wheel was going bad because it wouldn't register in
the windows controller dialog...  Turns out the connector that goes
into the pedal unit was loose.  I plugged it back in firmly and viola.

Just a thought, --mK
