You don't say what kind of connection you have to the internet (modem on a
phone line, DSL, cable modem...), but let's try this...

If all of the races in the table have a dash ("-") in the PING column,
follow these instructions.

- Start up the game
- Hit the Multiplayer "button" on the main menu
- Hit the CONFIGURE button at the bottom of the screen (I think)
- A dialog box will pop up.
- Click on the "Find network addresses a different way" checkbox so that it
is checked.
- Hit OK, then exit the game as instructed.
- Start up the game.
- Hit the Multiplayer "button" on the main menu.
- Hit the Race on Sierra.com button.
- Go ahead and log in.
- Wait for several seconds after the race table fills up.  If most of the
servers have numbers in the PING column, you're all set.  If not, then.....

- Hit the BACK button to log out of sierra.com
- Hit the Race on Sierra.com button.
- More than likely there will be a drop down thingy that I think is labeled
"Connect via:" with an internet address after it (something like
63.121.14.101)
- Use the dropdown thingy to select the second address in the list.
- Now go ahead and log in.
- If you see numbers in the PING column, you're all set.  If there were more
than two addresses in the dropdown thingy, go back and try the other ones,
too.  One of them will most likely do the trick.
The game will remember the settings you just made, so you shouldn't have to
go through this process again.
