I saw a street luge sim (game?) at Comp USA yesterday for $20. Anyone heard
of this one or tried it yet?

Please do not attempt to get near this software box unless you want your
mental health to suffer.

It's the craze of crappy-cheap-done 20$ X-Games software.

And street luge is imho not something we should discuss on this newsgroup,
as it's off the charter of what actually is an automobile (which should be a
vehicle that is not man powered)   ;).

I figured it was probably crap. Just wanted to know if it was worth getting
for my little brother who is into all that x-games stuff.  There is actually
a pretty cool demo of a snowboarding game called Boarder Zone (Supreme
Snowboarding in Europe) published by Housemarque that I got from 3dfiles.com
that has awesome graphics .It has an interesting story behind it too. It
started as a technology demo and it was so well received that it was made
into a full blown game. Better graphics than a lot of racing sims today.
Check it out for your self. http://3dfiles.com/games/boarderzone.shtml
And I definitely wasn't planning to start a thread to DISCUSS it !! ;-)

Hmmm...   in this situation I suggest you get it. The buzz is "ok" on the
game but it's very arcade-based.  On r.a.s. I will push simulation in any
kind of game, that's why I said that ;)

Boarder Zone is a excellent demo I agree. I had it for a couple of weeks
before I went on vacation, and it is truly on it's own  compared to any
Xgame-type software on the market.  It is still arcade-based but has a very
nice game engine.  The graphics are truly great.  But it's _FUN_  !!!! I
agree with you to download it.

I just want to try the slopes you have in the demo movies, they look
incredibly fun ;)

Oh my God................Someone posted a borderline-off topic post
again. For Christ's sake, try not to be so anal. The guy just wanted
an opinion on the game. Just give him your opinion and be done with
it.

discuss that in this newsgroup" line.
