If you have to convince yourself even to try it,
just keep in mind that you aren't giving it
enough gas to accelerate, just enough to keep
the rear wheels moving.  You should barely even
be putting pressure on the pedal, and that makes
all the difference in the world.  Believe it or
not, you will actually stop more quickly once you
get the hang of it.

You asked how to stop faster while maintaining
control, and I've told you how.  NOW DO IT!!! :)

And, BTW, to an extent no talent is required if you
are willing to practice hard enough.  You show the
dedication, but you need technique.

One other point about this... You don't have
to be pushing on the throttle the whole time
you are braking, only when the back end of
the car is getting light.
