GPL- old mirror problem

by Tim » Sat, 15 Jun 2002 01:08:17

This is a little different than the 'banded' or broken up mirrors
described in past posts I found on a Google search, so I am going to
try to look for a solution here.

Brother's computer running GPL in D3D with D3D patch and official
update patch gets multi colored pixels in mirrors like a TV which just
lost the cable.  No images at all can be made out.  We tried to turn
off all details in mirrors and no help.  Only came up when we went to
D3D.

Couldn't find our way to the OpenGL settings everyone was talking about
with the other mirror problems.

Could it be a driver problem?  Game looks great otherwise with all
details turned up to max, 36 fps.

P3 700
NVidia TNT2 M64 32mb AGP
128 RAM
Windows 98

Tim,

When you did the D3D patch, did you add the D3D settings to your core.ini
file as noted in the readme.txt file?  If you did then you can try the
following.

Change the line that reads:
DirectMirrorRendering = 1
change to:
DirectMirrorRendering = 0

This might help.  Only other thing I have seen help is trying updated
drivers (Nvidia reference drivers if possible).
