RC2000 framecount ?

by J Skants » Sat, 29 Jan 2000 04:00:00

I am a little confused about the number of frames displayed in RC2000.
I am getting somewhere between 15 and 22 no matter what graphics resolution
I choose ??
Anything from 640x480x16 to 1024x768x32 gives me the same result ?

And even stranger the game does not stutter of feel slow in any way ?

In other games like Q3 a number as low as 15 frames will get you killed ;-)

Is the frame count display just useless ?

Maschine spec :
K6-3 400
196MB Ram
Geforce
MX300 (have tried both with and without 3d sound..)

Could it be the floating-point part of my processor or the AGP port simple
cant deliver more data to the graphics adapter ?
This would mean that the graphics adapter is wasted in my maschine ;-)

Visit simracing news and read all about the ral.cfg settings and race from
bumper view only.
I'm getting between 32 & 50 FPS from the bumper view while other views give
me barely 20 FPS.
It's worth some percistence
