It is the hottest game sim since GPL.

A very short review (I've got to do some racing)

Graphics, best ever seen in a sim
The graphics are great to look at (superb detail, very realistic 3d
environment, geat red afternoon sun),
and they give you a feeling of driving at top speed (try the bumper view)

Gameplay
10x better then the demo.
I really hated the 2 demos. The physics sucked, car handling felt like NFS.
The final release is still not like GPL but much better then the demo's
(MF: put a new demo on the net !!!!!).
It is much more easy then GPL (so the game will sell better)
And here it comes:  I like the the way they implemented the hay balls etc
It is not realistic when you drive 150 KM/h to come to a full stop when you
hit a hayball but it makes
the gameplay much bettter. You loose so much time by hitting hayballs etc
that you have to drive around them
No rally-driver would hit hayballs at top speed just to drive a new record,
we (the simplayers) would do so.

Physics:
Don't try to compare it to GPL (and the bad demos).
But the physics are (again) the best I've ever seen in a rally sim.

Online gameplay:
I have no idea yet

My verdict:
There are a lot of things to improve but it is a "must have" for any racing
fan.
Don't wait untill chistmas to get it. You'll miss out on a lot of
fun.........

I have to fully agree with you Youp.... I simply love it. The
arguments about the physics I keep reading about are mostly true, but
I simply love driving in this sim. The long stages are beautiful, and
at high speed I really get the same terrifying feeling I still get
when driving GPL.
The force feedback is VERY cool, the graphics look amazing and it's a
joy to drive. The only things that don't look very realistic to me is
the 'hit a tree and drive on' problem, and i feel that my car rolls
over a little bit too fast.
All in all, a superb sim IMHO. The opinions about RC2000 are quite
scattered, so I guess everybody should try this sim for himself (not
the demo, the full game physics have been MUCH improved!).

Oh, and have you checked out the replays? The best I've ever seen in a
racing sim!
