Don't laugh.

It ***y can.

NOTHING more dispiriting than watching a tail end charlie disappearing in a
cloud of dust while I'm wrestling my jallopy with as much finesse as a
rasping fart.

My motto...?

Don't race on a track where there are too many ***y 1st gear bends.

The ring didn't half tighten mine.

Me, I only race now on Monza, Spa, Ost (ta very much Dave!!) Zand and the
Glen.

All the others drive me to drink.

Has anyone here ever WON at the Ring...?

If you have.....blimey..!!!!!

You didn't cheat...?

The only way I would come first is to become a ***y dodgem car.....but
then again, I'd have to catch the fast ***s first.

idav.

Every day, in every way I'm getting slower.

Hello Bruce,

Hah...!!!!!

I knew it...

"That ***y chicane..."

Thank you God...I'm not the only one.....

Monaco is a sure f***ing cure for constipation.

The only horse-power that should be allowed around that place is the four
legged variety after all the place seems to have more straw bails than owt
else.

Blink here or get an itchy arse and you may as well stick your head between
your legs and kiss your knackers goodbye.

One tough and deadly place.

Jim Clark et all must of had balls of steel.

Can we take that chicane at Monaco flat out or do we have to brake?

>Can we take that chicane at Monaco flat out or do we have to

brake?

The only F1 car I can get round Monaco in is the Honda.  The way
I go through the chicane is by lifting the throttle just before
I go over the crest of the hill after the tunnel and then
gliding down the hill on the right before letting the car run
through the chicane.

Getting on the power down the hill seems to upset the balance of
the car and I always end up in a hay bail:)

Hmmm. I was thinking about trying Monaco to improve my car handling skills
(me rank rank beginner). But since I've already freaked out my girlfriend
screaming "f*ckin f*ck'd f*ck*r's" over and over again just trying to do a
novice race at Monza without ctl-r. Maybe I'll wait a bit.

Actually, the two tracks are entirely different and well worth
learning on.

Monza will teach you the best way to push the pedal to the metal and
powerslide through the corners, but Monaco will teach you how to
handle to more difficult tracks, such as the great 'Ring.

Yes. Concentration and good knowledge of the best racing line is what
helps the most.

But in general I prefer the wide and open tracks, as they allow for
more heart-stopping action, especially online. That's why Spa is my
personal favourite.

It's the hill leading to the chicane which is the biggest problem. It
steps the weight and balance of the car right off. When I first began
racing GPL this was the only car at Monaco which had me stressed out.

It gets much easier once you figure out the best line through it and
with a correct setup can be taken almost flat out.

I might aswell add that daft hairpin at Rouen to the list!  I either end up
stopping 100 yards short, end up stuck between those half-tyres, or fly off
at the corner before the hairpin under braking!

And I can't count the number of times I've run over & probably killed
that flagman on the start.  Seems he's standing in a bad place at this
track.  Isn't that hit & run?  ;-0
