Nascar 2 AI car pitting decision ??

I have run two 25% length races on the Atlanta track where the AI cars make
some real dumb decisions on pitting on yellow.  When the pit first opens
most (if not all) of the cars ahead of me decide not to pit.  I pitted and
most cars behind me pitted.  On subsequent laps on yellow the top cars
approach the pit as though they plan to pit but at the last minute decide
not to.  This includes the lap where we get the green flag (they are lined
up to pit but at the last minute decide not to and to on green).  Then on
the next lap on green THEY ALL PIT???!!!  Which puts me in first place.
Folks I know I need all the help I can get to win a race but this isn't
very challenging.  This has happened to me twice.

Has anyone experienced anything similar?  Is this another bug in Nascar 2
(I understand there is a growing list).  How do I get this to Papyrus's
attention?

We are aware of this problem and are looking into it... I can't make
any announcement about a patch to fix it, but we are aware.

Haven't seen that one in particular, but did come across a beauty the
other day:  on two consecutive caution laps, the leader (and hence the
rest of the pack) actually FAKED a pit stop by swerving toward pit road,
then back into the groove.  Don't know if it's a bug or feature, but it
was kinda' cute!  For those wondering, no it didn't fool me.  :)
