Tried to install F1RS on my new system (P2 350,W98,DirectX6,M3d 2 in SLI
with drivers 2050 and it only gives me the D3d option and said no 3Dfx
detected. How do I install it for 3dfx?

Uh.. never mind I found the glide.dll files I need.

I am having exactly the same problem with my F1RS. Which glide.dll files do
I need please? and where do they go?

They go in \windows\system and are named glide.dll and sst1int.dll.
You can get them from the ubisoft F1RS site.

What was the solution?

I have the same problem but I haven't got around to spending time solving
it yet.

Any help would be appreciated.

This is from the F1RS FAQ:
I'm having problems with my new Voodoo2 card.
1. If the F1RS install does not detect your Voodoo2 card, a couple of files
are missed out of your windows/system directory. Some software specifically
uses these files to recognise the existence of a 3DFX card (including F1RS).
The most straight forward solution is to put the files back in - this will
not cause any problems or degrade the performance of the newer drivers, but
will improve compatibility. The missing files are glide.dll and
sst1init.dll. If you have these files lying around on your hard disk, just
copy them back into your windows/system directory. If not, you can obtain
them here.
