Hmm...more of your particular...or should that be peculiar...brand of
'logic'!

It's pretty simple Greger-
there has been NO demo, and NO sim yet released, and those who say there
never will be are winning this argument untill there is such. (after all
it's been 2 years) Those who say shut up and wait are just getting
repetitive.

Just because you have not seen a demo does not mean there is not one. I have
seen and driven it (in fact 4 different demos at 2 ECTS's and 2 E3's), and I
am very content.

That someone is me. It wasn't stupid and it wasn't an insult, it was merely
posted to create a debate about a game we ALL want to happen.  Right ?
Well the debate still rages, I see. Overall, that must be a good thing.
The West Brothers may well be putting the finishing touches to their
masterpiece. I have no idea about the state of the games' progress, as
someone else rudely pointed out. But I do know one thing for ***y sure.
If, and when the game appears in your local game store , it won't be a
freebie.  It will cost cash money, people.
Another obnoxious individual said, early in this thread, that I'm the type
who won't pay for it anyway. That is complete balls. WSC is at the top of my
shopping list, and has been for a long time. If it lives up to even half the
hype that has been written about it, then I will be a happy chappy.
That's all.

How can someone who isn't saying anything shutup ?

That was my point about it being a stupid post.

WSC - put up or shut up.....

It's just a commonly used phrase that seemed apt when i wrote it. People say
"put up or shut up" in some obscure contexts. Playing cards, for example. No
one is speaking, but when it comes time to place your bet somebody can say
"put up or shut up", can't they ? Why it was taken so figuratively here,
I'll never know. It must have been reasonable to assume that, of course, I
had never met the West's or heard them talking(until the interview) so my
use of "that" phrase could not have been a direct insult, and it wasn't.

No, that's not true.
The Wests have said a lot of really advanced stuff will be in WSC.. the
Wests themselves ahve said that so that makes us eager... and 2-3 yearson, w
haven't sen eveidence of most of thsi stuff.
I don't think Geoff Crammond nor co-workers have gone public on any matter
from day 1 (i.e F1GP1), thus, I thought the flack he got was unfair... since
HE didn't promise anything, he jsut made the sim and kept his trap shut...
that way he did his best to include what he could and wouldn't get into
trouble bypromising things he couldn't fit in by the deadline imposed on
him.

It was through idiot websites such as Alpha F1 (I won't go into that any
more....) that items placed on "wishlists", which by the way nobody bothered
to forward to Geoff, were deemed to be fact...not through confirmation by
Geoff or Microprose/Hasbro but just to get hits which is very sad... as a
result people began to believe that things such as pace cars and stuff were
fact when they were only fiction of one little man with a "beginners guide
to HTML" book at hand.

Yep and it could be in beta form right now? I know we all want WSC
but to me the Wests are not going to release anything that is less then
what it should be! Just look at all the complaints right here in ras with
GP3, F1RC, F12000 & more.. Don't you think they know this?
Food for thought chaps!! :)

I remember this.  IIRC it was Chris West who said it, possibly in the
WinVROC chat session.
