N3 worth it for GPL drivers?

Wondering if N3 would survive a hyper-realism fan's critical comparison to
GPL. I especially like GPL's physics, graphics, and FF.

Thanks for your comments.

In a word, no.  But there is a demo.  Try it yourself.  And the
multiplayer element is being worked on.  The 4th beta patch has some
improvements,  I just ran an hour long race at Riverside today..which is
NOT included in N3 but thats another story, and the online element was
solid.  At other times the connections are warpy and unstable, my first
few days online saw many more disconnects than complete races.

Well, not really. Still you might want to buy it anyway as you can use
the ovals in GPL. There's a track converter at www.theuspits.com
The ovals are really good in GPL, much better than in Nascar or ICR. So
if you like that sort of thing...

Apples and oranges.  In my experience, GPL gives you adrenaline just racing
the track.  In N3, the track isn't much of a problem (like Tony Stewart
says, what's the big deal, you only have two turns to learn).  You get your
adrenaline from more or less constant contact with several other cars.

Put it this way...

GPL is the best driving sim, Nascar 3 is the best racing sim.  In N3 you are
almost always in traffic either trying to hold off a challenge or trying to
make a pass - especially on the superspeedways.

If you're a historic racing fan why not try NLegends?  It's marginally more
difficulty, the superbirds look unbelievably cool and there is no Jeff
Gordon!!  (...only joking Gordon fans!)

I don't have N3 but I have NR99 and GPL and though I am more competitive in
NR99 I find it alot harder to stay on the track due to the fact that there
are always cars around me.  The Papy NASCAR sims I think are a good way to
learn patience when it come to dealing with other cars.

This analogy really comes true to life online. I routinely get
clobbered in qualifying. But I can drive through traffic like
nobodies business. I am constantly amazed at the fast
drivers who cannot handle the traffic. I am especially
delighted when these people crash once and exit the
race immediately. They probably had a boo boo lip
and started crying....

Oh BTW, I'm "hammer-time" on the alpha server :-)

I'm not so sure. I race both gpl and nascar 3 online in leagues and
enjoy both. You just have to come to terms with the fact that they're
completely different forms of racing.
