Which Wheel to buy???

by jmor.. » Sat, 11 Apr 1998 04:00:00

Hey....was at the store the today...and I saw three wheels...the grand
Prix steering wheel which was 79 dollars....the T2 wheel and pedal
which was 199.00 and the Nascar Pro wheel and pedal which was also
199.00.  I've been reading here lately and have noticed that a lot of
people have trouble with the T2 pedals after awhile...they are not
that sturdy??   any recommendations as to which wheel and pedal set I
should purchase???

thanks

I've purchased two Thrustmaster GP1 wheels from Electronics Boutique at $49.00
ea. I think they have a web site.

I have both the GrandPrix 1 and the Nascar Pro. I have used the Grand Prix 1
for about 1 year and heave never been satisfied with the feel it gave. They
are cheaper, I've seen them for $45.00 on closeout.
The Nascar Pro cost me $129.00 at Best Buy, and I must say it's worth
every penny.
It adds alot more realism to any sim and the fell is 100 times better than
the GrandPrix1.
If you don't have alot of cash than the GrandPrix is it, if you want max
enjoyment then the Nascar Pro is the best wheel you can get without getting
in the $300.00 and up category.
The T2 is in-between a GrandPrix1 and Nascar Pro. Has the same crappy
feel as the GrandPrix with pedals.
One note--I still use the GP1 for my 4 yr old son as he's too short to
reach the pedals of the Nascar Pro.
