I was quite shocked seeing such a thing! Let's hope they do keep it in the
final version. One problem solved, now onto the multiplayer... (the review
made Microprose/Hasbro look like a bunch of kids in that department).

However as far as I know, Geoff is based in he middle of England somewhere
where a 28k modem is still the norm. A 58k is something special and 128k is
like a god!
But none of these can run a proper game online. Being just across the water
I know how games suck online. GPL and MGPRS2 try hard to be good but you
really don't get to race with these people online, your just on the same
track.
Its just what people are used to, a cringe sometimes a it when I think that
I am downloading a file a 2kb per second when the lads in the US would have
done the whole file in about 2 seconds.
But although its an excuses for not including internet play, in this part of
the world, the connections really are not up to the job.
Ummm maybe when he was coding GP2 that was the case, but not any more
:-)

Ok Graeme, well given that clabe and all that is swangling its way in now,
it doesn't come cheap.
What I mean is that on the average connection in these parts not many sims
can give you an actual race online.

No ASDL or Cable unless you live in a populated area. Remember most of
America isn't in Proverbial New York. (well maybe population wise) so all us
in the states that live in the Sticks, well we feel your pain. :)
