Re-discovering GP3 (and having a great laugh)

Just wanted to rave about the GPX Patch I only discovered on the net
about two nights ago...

I haven't been able to play GP3 since I don't know when because the
hardware combination in my machine hates it (joystick spikes - don't
give me any tips to fix it).

Anyway - I re-formatted the HDD the other night, and just out of
interest tried GP3 once more. Then when I discovered it was playable
again, I went looking for updates and found the GPX patch :)

I will admit to being horrified that I couldn't wander back onto the
track and plonk the car on pole any more (I did after half an hour of
erratic and spectacular incidents), but being able to see all the
stats and hear the other cars has transformed GP3 into something worth
playing once more.

But really, the only thing you have to do to get rid of your joystick
problem is.. oh ok, I'll shut up :-/

Try GP3 2000 if you can get it cheap. I hated GP3 but I loved GP3
2000. Untill F1 2001 came out, after that the physics of GP3 felt dead
:-/

Pity it took so long for you to discover the delights of GPX - it really did
transform GP3 (2000) for me as well. However, Andre is right, since F1 2001
was released, GP3 has been off the HDD!
