HELP, I can't even run the demo!

I am going to buy NASCAR soon, but I'm afraid my machine will not be able to
play it because I can't even run the demo due to lack of memory.  On the demo
I got up to choosing Talledega and from there it said can't load track, no
memory.  I have a 486 50 mhz-Intel with 4MB RAM and 512KB video.  I tried to
run it with a boot disk, eliminating all the lines that suck up memory and
got the same thing.  Anyone have any suggestions?  I am going to upgrade to
8MB RAM but not before I buy the sim.
