Jesse, who cares?

Lighten the hell up. Don't like it? Don't read it.

Wanna become an off-topic policeman? Fine. Why not just scroll down the posts
and see what you find? I sure seem to see a lot. What's stopping you? I sure
don't see you responding to them.

Oh, by the way, if you think I'm "mocking the sim community", or simply
implying it, you're wrong. You can try to rally people to believe what you'd
like them to. People aren't as dumb as you think.

I've probably owned more simulations, racing, flying, and otherwise, than many
people, yourself included.

If not, well, my mistake.

No, it will be banned from the sidewalks from any city that is run by anyone
with any common sense.

Geez, you talk like someone with major stocks in the company behind this new
contraption. It will be unsafe on sidewalks and the street is no place to be
using one, GoPeds are banned here and I expect the same will happen to these
things also.

I agree, such devices are already banned in many cities.  Maybe they will be
legal in the new cities that Steve Jobs is planning to build on Mars ;)

I *wish* I was a stockholder.

Anyway, yes, it seems as thought it would be unsafe for pedestrians on the
sidewalk and for the rider on streets.

A bike lane, or walking path seems ideal.

I can see it now. Lots of 40 somethings who spend several thousand to
avoid walking, then spend several thousand at a gym to do artificial
walking. Brilliant.

Or combining the two, buying a Ginger with a built-in treadmill.

Troll?  Because he thinks it's stupid?  Well, add another one to that list - I
think it's stupid, over-priced, a waste of money, time, and space.  Of course,
the guy will sell a lot to people who have more money than sense who just
*have* to have the latest fad no matter how useful it eventually is....
So answer this - WTF *do* you do with it when you get to your destination?
It's a valid question...  Forget carrying capacity, too.  At least normal
scooters have saddlebags.

This is a troll?  Hardly.  Let's analyze this.  Take a perfectly acceptable
transportation method (the ubiquitous manual scooter of our childhood), slap
in a motor and whiz-bang gyro stabilizers, then sell it for, what was that,
3000 friggin' dollars?  It's a ridiculous and thoroughly American approach
to the problem.  What's wrong with walking?  What's wrong with a bike?  Are
millions of Dutch and Chinese daft for getting around town a lot faster,
with more carrying capacity, on a $300 bicycle?

Arggh.  His dialysis machine might be nice, but this idea is loopy.

I'm sure the thought and the engineering behind the vehicle is commendable,
but it's got to be the silliest marketing concept I've ever seen... why
would anyone in his/her right mind spend $3000 on something motorized that
can easily be outrun by someone on a biclycle?

Then again, lots of people bought those silly scooter things too, eventhough
a conventional step can run rings around 'm.

Hmm.. I wonder if people reacted the same way when the bicycle was
introduced? :)
